Het is weer een tijd geleden dat ik een selectie uit de Tiny Nature groep heb gemaakt. Het was dus hoog tijd! Ik ben voor deze collectie vooral afgegaan op de tinten van bruin en groen. Een overgang van zomer naar herfst.

It's been a while again since I've selected from the Tiny Nature group. So it was time to make a collection! I went for the green and brown tones for this feature. A perfect transition from summer to fall.

New in the Shop

Een klein overzicht van de nieuwe producten in mijn winkeltje. Vooral juwelenrollen, GSM-hoesjes en geborduurde producten.

Mijn week op Instagram.

• Het afwerken van de tekeningen voor de eerste patronen. Wegens bestellingen heeft dit even stil gelegen.

• Keer op keer smelt ik als een van mijn twee jongens zo zie slapen.
• Een heleboel nieuwe broches, deels voor een bestelling. De rest vind je ondertussen al in mijn winkeltje!
• Ondanks het koudere weer, een nieuw plantje!

My week at Instagram.

• Finishing the drawings for the first patterns. I had to put it aside for a couple of days due to orders I had to go through.
• I melt each time I see one of the boys sleeping like that.
• A lot of new brooches. Most of them were for an order, but you can find the rest in my shop!
• Despite the colder weather, I have a new plant!

What did you do last week?

Birthday.

Morgen ben ik jarig en word ik 24 jaartjes oud. Vanaf je 20 jaar passeert gaat alles ineens een heel pak sneller, maar ik mag hierover niet (te veel) klagen. Omdat ik op de dag zelf een hele dag weg ben, bedacht ik mij dat ik best vandaag al een bericht plaats over de korting die ik geef morgen! • Het is de laatste dagen véél te warm geweest. Ook mijn katten hebben er last van.
• Veel borduurwerk. Deels prototypes en onderzoeken. Anderzijds mijn reeds gemaakte ontwerpen.

• A lot of embroidery. Some are prototypes and tests, others are already used designs.

The New Chapter I Planned 2 Years Ago.

Vanaf het begin van mijn winkeltje is het altijd al mijn doel geweest om mijn illustratie zo veel mogelijk te integreren met mijn borduur- en naaiwerk (ik herhaal mijzelf een beetje), dus ik hoop tegen het eind van de zomer de eerste eigen patronen af te hebben. Ik heb het hier in de loop der jaren al enkele keren over gehad. Hier en hier, bijvoorbeeld. Maar ander werk bleef in de weg komen. Ik ben natuurlijk heel dankbaar voor al dat ander werk! Het is tijd om er een nieuw hoofdstuk aan toe te voegen.

I've been telling it so many times already, but from the start of my business it's been a huge goal to combine my illustration with embroidery and sewing work as much as I can. I have plans to finish the first own patterns by the end of the summer. It's something I've been talking about for a couple of years now. Here and here, for example. But other orders and work got in the way. I'm very thankful for all the work I've been having! It's time to add a new chapter.

Omdat ik niet altijd even vaak blog, dacht ik dat het een leuk idee was om aan het einde van de week een kleine verzameling te maken van wat er deze week is gebeurd. Ik gebruik hiervoor de foto's die ik op mijn Instagram post. Als je een inzicht van mijn dagelijks leven wilt, volg mij gerust!

• De zon schijnt eindelijk en mijn rozen zijn helemaal in bloei!
• Ik probeer dagelijks in mijn schetsboek te tekenen. Ik kocht vorige week een mooi nieuw schetsboekje bij Dearest Jackdaw.
• Ilan geniet van de korte momenten op het terras.

• The sun is finally shining! And my roses are enjoying it so much.
