Study of Colours

With every embroidered flower, there comes a large preparation. Selecting the right colours is an important part of it. This process has been becoming more difficult lately. Because of the amount of details, I keep adding more and more colours. Therefor I started a new project, which goes in line with all the other embroideries I make. I pick a few colours from one flower and I make an abstract colour study. To also practice the different embroidery stitches, I select one stitch to use while making the study. This way, I learn to make beter colour combinations, using a smaller amount of colours.
